“But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever. Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy.” (Psalms 5:11) Think of a chicken that has baby chicks. When the chicks are scared, cold or tired, they rest under the wings of the mother. This is what David is talking about in today’s scripture. To take refuge means to go to God and rest safely under his loving arms. He will protect you and let no harm come to you and for this we should rejoice and be happy. We have a God that loves us so much. We are told in  Hebrews 6: 6, “So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” When we are taking refuge with our God, there is nothing to be afraid of. Go to Him, read His word and take refuge. He promises to protect you. Thank you Father for you unfailing protection and love. God loves ya 😉
