James 1:13-18
How many times do we receive a gift from someone and, let’s say to be nice, it just isn’t something you would buy for yourself? Like the thousands upon thousands of neck ties that are found in the dump.  We put on a smiley face and say, “Aww you shouldn’t have” all the while in reality we are really saying “you shouldn’t have”. We receive gifts all the time that we really don’t want or need but the ones we do need, we receive and don’t even think about giving sincere heartfelt thanks to the one that gave it to us. How about the water that comes out of your faucet, the electricity that lights your house and keeps it warm or cools it off? Let’s get deeper; how about the air you breathe, the clothes you wear, the sun that warms your skin. I could go on and on! We need to give thanksgiving for all of the things that God gives us. “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights” (Vs.17). I forgot one thing God gave me, friends like you! Everything is a gift; use them well and pass them on. God loves Ya;)
