John 15:12-15, 1 Samuel 18-20
If we stop and take a look at our lives, most of us can say that we have been blessed with many friends throughout our lives. As we look deeper, we may even be lucky enough to say that we have a “best” friend; someone who is always there for us, lending support, laughing and crying with us, and telling us the truth, even if we don’t want to hear it. 1 Samuel 18:1 (The Voice) says…“Saul’s son Jonathan was bound to David in friendship and Jonathan loved David as he loved himself.” Throughout their time together, David and Jonathan showed characteristics of true friendship; loyalty, sacrifice, compromise, and an emotional attachment. Whether we have that kind of friend here on Earth, we have the ultimate best friend in Jesus. Our job as believers is to share Jesus with as many people as we can, so they have the same opportunity to experience his love and friendship. Go out today and introduce your best friend to someone who needs to know Him. God Loves Ya 😉 – Karen Chappell
