Does any this sound familiar right now in our present time? “But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.” (2 Timothy 3:1-5 ESV) This was written by Paul in approximately 62 A.D. and was written to give encouragement and leadership guidelines to a young pastor named Timothy at the church in Ephesus. We will be among people that act this way and I believe we already are. Paul tells us to avoid these people but in many cases we can’t because of situations that we are in; so in that case we have to do what John tells us in 1 John 3:18 “let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.” We are to walk the walk of being a follower of Christ and that means we are to LOVE others no matter what and pray that the Holy Spirit moves in their hearts. God Loves Ya 😉
