Luke 2:19
With just weeks before Christmas, I got out the play nativity set for my children to enjoy. While checking to see that all the pieces were in place, my four year old daughter asked, “Mommy, Where is baby Jesus?!” “Oh no! He’s missing!” I said. My children and I searched our house for baby Jesus. We continued searching throughout the day, asking, “Where is baby Jesus?” Disappointment settled in and we were left wondering, will we ever find Him? And then it hit me, how often do we find ourselves caught up in the excitement and lists of things to do that we miss the point of Christmas, Jesus? I almost missed Jesus. Where is baby Jesus? He is right here among us and desires time with you.
So, we may not have found the missing piece to the nativity set. What we did find was time with Jesus, just like Mary did on a Silent Night in Bethlehem many years ago. “But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.” Luke 2:19. I pray that you will find Jesus this Christmas season; spend time with Him and experience the joy to the world that He brings. God Loves Ya;) – Missy Lundy
