Hebrews 4:14-16
Sometimes I think it is hard for is to fathom that Jesus could really understand us and what we are going through. We put Jesus on a pedestal and think, “I am too bad for him to understand. I have messed up too much and my sin is too great.” We walk around with the shame and guilt have upon our shoulders. But this scripture reminds us that Jesus faced the same temptations that we face. He did not sin, but he knows what those temptations feel like. He understands what we are going through and what our shame and guilt are doing to us. But He calls for us to “approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our need.” (Hebrews 4:16) We may feel undeserving, but God views it differently. God is good 😉
